Rothschild Trust Appoints First Member Of New Senior Advisor Platform

Rothschild Trust has appointed Paul Stibbard as the first member of its Senior Advisor Platform – a network of wealth planners and advisors which the firm hopes will strengthen its position in key markets while also improving its internal education and mentoring programme. Stibbard, who joins Rothschild Trust next week, was latterly co-chair of the global steering committee and head of the wealth management department at law firm Baker McKenzie. He is also a member of the international committee of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an academician of the International Academy of Estate and Tax Law. “We are delighted that Paul is joining our new international Senior Advisor Platform. His tremendous profile, vast experience, as well as his many connections, will help Rothschild expand its global position as one of the leading trust and fiduciary services firms. Paul’s primary role will be to advise clients with complex international planning and structuring needs,” said Stefan Liniger, chief executive of Rothschild Trust. In other recent developments, in April Rothschild Trust said that it is to cut its headcount in Guernsey by a third as part of moves to streamline parts of the business. Its staff roster will be reduced by 20 from today’s 60 over the next six months. The main change is that RTG’s administration centre will be brought onto the same global platform as the rest of the group, and that several support processes will be managed centrally.
